They highlight the importance of a living wage, healthcare coverage, and a healthy work-life balance, which includes time for personal pursuits.

Workplace Culture and Fair Practices

Gen Z places a strong emphasis on a positive workplace culture. They expect a non-toxic environment with understanding management and an inclusive culture. They desire a vibrant, fun workplace, akin to that of tech giants like Google. Beyond these cultural traits, they also call for an end to zero-hour contracts and the termination of exploitative part-time work. They want steady employment and better work conditions, with a reduced reliance on employees juggling multiple jobs to make ends meet.

Addressing Housing and Economic Issues

The high cost of housing, especially in the UK, USA, and other countries, is a significant challenge for Gen Z. Employers alone cannot solve this issue, but they can contribute to a solution through fairer wages and promoting apprenticeships. A living wage and comprehensive benefits can provide stability during economically challenging times.
