It is past 10:30 PM and today was supposed to be a holiday. Yet, instead of rejuvenating, I wasted the entire day scrolling through my mobile. Exhausted, both physically and mentally, I find myself grappling with negative thoughts. This draining state offers no respite, leaving me more anxious than before. As the day draws to an end, my body is signaling that it needs rest. However, my mind resists, unwilling to acknowledge that the day is over. In this moment of self-punishment, I seek a solution.

I repeat the process of reading and then proceeding to eat, again for one hour. By the end of this routine, I have completed three sessions of study. It’s important to note that even if I only manage to complete one of these sessions, it is significant progress. Something is better than nothing, and in striving for consistency, small steps can make a big impact.

To further overcome laziness and boost productivity, it is essential to address any childhood neglect that may have led to these negative habits. Seeking therapy can be instrumental in understanding and addressing underlying issues.
