Imagine a cinematic scene where the mighty Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor, faces off against the nefarious Black Order, including Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, and Ebony Maw. In this article, we analyze how Thor would fare in an open battlefield, as seen in Infinity War. We will explore the strength of each Black Order member against Thor and why Thor emerges victorious.

Thor vs. Black Order

The Black Order, consisting of Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, and Ebony Maw, is an formidable group of opponents. When Thor encounters them, the fight is intense but Thor's powers give him the upper hand over all but one member of the Black Order.

A Timely Victory Against the Ogres

Thor, known for his extraordinary strength and divine powers, encounters the Black Order in a gladiatorial setting, showcasing his valor and prowess. His powerful lightning blasts defeat Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive swiftly. Even Maw's telekinesis, a formidable ability, fails to hold Thor in check, as he casually restrains him. However, Ebony Maw stands out among the group, capable of dealing significant damage, but Thor can still overcome him through his supernatural abilities.

Conflicting Strengths and Weaknesses

Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive are swiftly disposed of by Thor’s lightning spells. Proxima Midnight’s glaive does some damage, but Thor’s resilience and power are enough to defeat her. Similarly, Corvus Glaive’s blows are minimal against Thor, who easily overcomes him. Hela's lethal Necroswords, while capable of slicing through Uru armor, prove ineffective against Thor's immunity. Maw’s telekinesis poses a challenge but Thor's lightning storms can easily destroy any attempt to constrain him.

One-on-One Battles

In a one-on-one confrontation, Cull Obsidian poses a serious challenge to Thor. Though Thor can withstand his attacks and overpower him, Cull Obsidian’s physical prowess is formidable. However, Thor's supernatural abilities allow him to take the fight to a new level, dealing massive damage and ensuring his victory.

Out in the Open Chaos

The true test of Thor's might comes when he faces the Black Order in an open field. Here, his lightning bolts, which can pierce through the skies and strike at will, become his most potent weapon. Ebony Maw, the most powerful member, remains the only threat, but even he cannot match Thor's divine powers. Thor can harness the electricity around him, snaring and tossing his opponents with lightning. This ability alone makes the Black Order, though formidable, mere shadows of their former selves in the face of the God of Thunder.

The Post-Ragnarok Thor

Post-Ragnarok, Thor, the God of Thunder, is an even more formidable opponent. With his warhammer Mjolnir and his divine powers fully unleashed, he can take on the Black Order alone. In the climactic battle of Infinity War, Thor, again without his hammer, tames lightning like never before. Lightning envelops him, streaking down from the sky in a coordinated array, making any attempts to trap him futile. This ability, along with his strength and resilience, guarantees Thor's victory over the Black Order in any setting.
