The Journey of Self-Love: A Personal Reflection on Personal Growth and Faith

Over time, I realized that loving myself is not an immediate realization, but a gradual journey. It began with the understanding that I could choose to be my "best self." This concept, akin to WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) when in doubt, became my guiding principle. I would consult my mental model of the ideal person, who is an amalgamation of all the people I've most respected, and ask myself what that person would do.

As I reflect on this journey, I must acknowledge that countless moments and decisions contributed to this change, rather than one single defining moment. I am known for being a deep thinker, and one who values simplicity and authenticity. While I may not be the most outgoing person, my kind heart and moral integrity have often been underestimated or taken for granted. These qualities, which could be seen as working against societal norms of desiring wealth, fame, or authority, were actually the foundation of my journey towards self-love.

Challenges and Reflections

My well-wishers have often advised me to pursue these societal norms, but I found contentment in my own path, even when it was perceived as tougher or more challenging. The satisfaction derived from my job and personal relationships, where I aimed to demonstrate the spirit of love and affection rather than desire, became a significant aspect of my journey. This approach was effective in maintaining positive relationships at all levels, from top management to my colleagues and subordinates.

My view on wealth and freedom, while philosophical, also impacted my journey. I believe that true freedom comes with accepting certain material dependencies and doing one's best without compromising mental peace. The nature of my communication style during my work became a battleground, but it also helped me focus on tasks and collective objectives without being limited by anything. This mindset provided a sense of freedom that many desire through wealth and power.

Miscellaneous Thoughts

Throughout my journey, the desire for wealth sometimes arose due to the realization that half of my useful life had been spent without significant assets for my family. While I am not sure if this thought was right or wrong, it did pop up. Believing in God and working on these lines for over 22 years led to a series of incidents that allowed me to pursue my path more openly. This change resolved many petty issues related to my immediate family.

The journey continues with a greater faith in God, a practice that I hope to inspire many to improve their sense of worth and enhance their potential. Life problems never truly end, but by working with full attention, dedication, and belief in oneself, one can feel a sense of care from a higher power. It is important to remember that true care comes when one has surrendered to a greater truth, which is that God, and not oneself, is primarily responsible for one's well-being.

In the end, this journey taught me the importance of the cause and effect principle. Understanding that God takes care of all, except those who think they can take care of themselves until they surrender, has provided me with a deeper understanding of life's complexities.
