The Honest Truth: Colive in Bangalore and Its Services
The Honest Truth: Colive in Bangalore and Its Services
Recently, many of my friends and acquaintances have been sharing their less-than-positive experiences with Colive in Bangalore. In light of these grievances, I decided to delve deeper into the situation and present an honest account of my own harrowing experience. This article aims to provide potential tenants with an all-encompassing and truthful portrayal of the challenges one might face when signing up with Colive.
Disgusting Practices and Fake Reviews
Upon joining Colive, one is likely to stumble upon a myriad of disconcerting practices that, if not clearly communicated, can leave a new tenant in a state of shock. A major issue that has been brought to light multiple times is the existence of fake reviews on platforms like Google Maps. It appears that the service offered by Colive is much different from the rosy picture painted by these reviews.
The representative at the outset will not inform you that you will be subjected to egregious practices, such as paying high electricity bills and facing unjust deductions from your security deposit. Onboarding charges of approximately Rs. 1200 are merely a small part of the larger scam, as these charges are imposed for the access card, bed sheet, and other essential amenities. More troublingly, you will frequently face technical issues with the Wi-Fi, rendering the living space often unreliable.
The food offered at Colive is mentioned to be nutritionless and in poor quality, yet these issues are usually ignored in favor of immediate occupancy. If any complaints are raised, the management fails to address them, leading to frustration and disappointment among the tenants. Upon making a payment for the booking amount, you might be astonished to learn that the final bill amounts to a much larger sum, often ranging from Rs. 15k to 17k, in addition to unexpected charges deducted from your security deposit.
Unprofessional and Unhygienic Cleaning Services
The cleaning services at Colive further compound the negative experience. Nepali cleaners employed by the company are known to be very rude and disrespectful towards tenants. If you request them to clean properly, they often show unhygienic behavior, such as throwing water at you after washing. They are quick to become irritated and rude when given any feedback, employing a variety of offensive language including harsh insults and vulgarities. The language they use is particularly distasteful and should be avoided in the review entirely due to brevity requirements.
Moreover, these cleaners are not concerned with the health and respect of their tenants. They often display a blatant disregard for personal hygiene, abusing tenants in both Hindi and their own dialects. It is evident that they are solely focused on extracting money from tenants and have even been reported to have connections with the police. They might even threaten to involve the police if a tenant does not comply with their unreasonable demands. Despite the countless complaints, the police were shown to be ineffective, with numerous attempts to report the situation leading to no action taken.
Manipulative Practices and Tenant Exploitation
Colive has also been accused of manipulative practices, including the withholding of security deposits. It has been reported that tenants who have left the accommodation did not receive their security deposits for over three months, and the management often provides evasive excuses to cover up these shortcomings.
The company has a structured marketing team capable of posting fake reviews to lure more tenants. Additionally, there have been instances where a tenant's deposit was unfairly deducted as rent. In such cases, the property officials forcibly removed the mattress and other belongings of the tenant, demanding further payment. This behavior is unacceptable and points to the nonchalant attitude of the management towards the welfare and rights of their tenants.
Management and support from Colive can be highly unreliable. Calls to the sales team and property managers are often met with a blunt refusal to offer assistance or to pursue any course of action. The property manager, in particular, shows a lack of concern for the well-being of the tenants and is unwilling to return the deposit, even going so far as to ask tenants to stay for an additional month to serve the notice period. This behavior is unethical and leaves tenants feeling both frustrated and exploited.
In conclusion, a stay at Colive in Bangalore is fraught with hidden costs, poor quality of services, and absolute disregard for tenants' rights and well-being. If you are considering signing up with Colive or any similar accommodation service in Bangalore, it is highly advisable to proceed with extreme caution. The review I present is based on my own experience and the experiences shared by others, and I hope that this information will help prevent potential victims and ensure better transparency in the rental market.
