Personal Insights on SBI PO 2021 Exam Performance

It was my first attempt in SBI PO last year, and I was not able to clear even the pre-examination. I am hopeful that this year I will give my best and hopefully clear the exam. Last year, I scored 59.75 marks, which was around the cut-off for the general category, which was approximately 63. With just 34 incorrect answers out of around 63 attempted questions, it was clear that I had a lot of room for improvement.

Lessons Learned from the First Attempt

My first experience with the SBI PO exam was a learning journey. Despite my lack of success, it provided invaluable insights that helped me in my preparation for the 2021 exam. Here’s what I took away from that experience:

Identifying Weak Areas: Based on my performance, I could see where I needed more practice. Some areas such as data interpretation and reasoning needed more focus. Maintaining Accuracy: Even in the questions I knew, my accuracy was not at the desired level. Therefore, drilling down to more fundamental concepts was crucial. Time Management: Hectic timing in the exam was a considerable issue. Efficient time management is critical, and I aimed to work on it. Mental Fortitude: The stress of the exam was palpable. I found that mental fortitude and maintaining calm under pressure are essential.

SBI PO 2021: A New Beginning

This year, I am determined to clear the SBI PO exam. My journey started early this year with a comprehensive preparation plan. Here is how I approached my preparations for the 2021 exam:

Assessment: I started by re-assessing my strengths and weaknesses from the previous year's experience. Practice: Regular practice with mock tests and previous year's papers helped me get a feel for the actual exam format and types of questions. Strategy: I focused on a strategic approach to tackle the exam, including time management and priority setting during the exam. Motivation: I kept myself motivated by reminding myself of the goals and the importance of the SBI PO position.

Success Story – First Attempt Success

Amidst all the hard work and dedication, the big moment finally came. I cleared the SBI PO exam in my first attempt, and while it was just the pre-examination, it was a significant milestone. In the 2021 exam, I scored 71.75 marks, attempted 70 questions, and got 21 correct for the second shift. This time, I completed my graduation, which added a new layer of contentment to the experience.

Reflections and Future Goals

Reflecting back, the journey to the SBI PO success was not just about the final score but also about the preparation, perseverance, and mental strength. While this year's success feels amazing, my goal is to keep pushing forward, aiming to become a successful manager, and contribute in a meaningful way to the organization.
