Introduction

July 2021, a significant month in my life, marked a monumental achievement that turned into a cherished memory. Overcoming a severe bout of COVID-19 only a few days before my CA (Chartered Accountant) final exams, I managed to muster the courage to study and sit for the tests. This article chronicles my journey, filled with challenges and triumphs, and how I ultimately prevailed.

July 2021 CA Exam-The Turning Point

Just before the July 2021 exam, I contracted a severe case of COVID-19, where my body was debilitated by high fever, leaving me little energy to do anything else but sleep. Despite completing 15 days of quarantine, the after-effects of the coronavirus were so distressing that they jeopardized my studies. However, I managed to prepare and give my best. To my relief, I cleared the exams and became a Chartered Accountant. This experience taught me the value of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Beyond Expectations: My Quora Journey

For many years, I have been an avid reader on Quora, continually seeking knowledge and sharing insights. My curiosity and desire for self-improvement drove me to answer questions, culminating in a momentous event—the posting of my first historic response. My 2020 was filled with challenges, and I faced a critical juncture with my CA Final Exam scheduled for November 2020.

In June 2020, a part of me decided to aim for a rank. Despite the looming deadline, another part of me hesitated, leading to a tense period of self-reflection. I chose to appear for the exams, not wanting to opt out, and despite a significant portion of candidates opting out after the first two papers, I continued to push. However, the results showed differently—failure in the Group 1.

My life was further complicated when I failed Group 2, a result that was a far cry from my expectations. Despite knowing that this was not the path I envisioned, I was determined to get back on track for May 2021.

The Resilient Journey

May 2021 brought a new set of challenges. With no time to prepare between exams, I restarted from scratch, armed only with my previous certified copies. A deep-seated belief in myself fueled my determination. Starting from March 8, every day was dedicated to rigorous study, with only a couple of exceptions. I felt a profound sense of accomplishment as I approached the exams, knowing that every moment of preparation counted.

The results day arrived on September 13, 2021, and without a doubt, it was a moment of jubilation. Seeing 'PASS' on the screen was exhilarating. My journey from the CPT (Certified Public Test) to becoming a Chartered Accountant was marked by numerous sacrifices and hard-earned victories. Reflecting on this achievement, I am proud of my resilience and the promises I made to myself.
