Do You Sell Nutritional Supplements in Your Practice?

As a certified Health Coach, I don’t sell nutritional supplements in my practice. However, I do advise on which ones to avoid and can recommend some on a personal basis. While a well-balanced diet typically doesn’t require supplements, I prioritize a whole foods approach, ensuring that individuals get their essential nutrients from high-quality foods.

My Philosophy on Nutritional Supplements

My primary role is to share content and advice for a broad audience seeking general information about health and wellness. I strongly support preventative health and self-education, encouraging my audience to conduct thorough research on any products they're interested in. When it comes to supplements, my hesitation stems from a preference for whole foods and a focus on sustainable health practices.

Why Whole Foods Over Supplements?

I believe that if possible, it’s best to support people in obtaining the necessary nutrition from a balanced diet of whole foods. A balanced intake of vitamins and minerals is crucial, and relying solely on supplements can be a band-aid rather than a comprehensive solution. My whole foods approach emphasizes a plant-based diet, which I follow myself.

Specific Exceptions for Supplements

There are, however, a few exceptions to my general stance. Vitamin B-12, for example, is difficult to obtain through a plant-based diet, and after thorough research, I found that algae-based supplements are a great alternative. However, due to the difficulty and expense of manufacturing these supplements, there is a risk of sub-par and potentially dangerous products on the market. To address this issue, I recommend and affiliate with a company that manufactures Spirulina and Chlorella with strict safety and quality standards.

Additionally, I have personal experience with a specific health supplement company that I trust for their commitment to quality, safety, and education. While I don’t necessarily promote specific products, I am confident in referring others to this company when asked for a source for a particular supplement.

Future Considerations for Additional Supplements

While I am cautious about endorsing supplements, I am open to exploring other options if a company can earn my complete trust. Achieving this trust requires a stringent vetting process, as it is essential to ensure the safety and efficacy of any supplement recommendations.

In summary, while I don’t sell nutritional supplements, I am here to provide guidance and recommendations based on my experience and research. Whether it’s avoiding potentially harmful products or finding safe and effective alternatives, my goal is to help individuals take control of their health with informed and sustainable choices.
