The journey towards a career at Quantiphi Analytics begins with a structured recruitment process designed to identify the most qualified candidates. This process comprises five critical rounds. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, the process was conducted virtually, making use of Google Meet for virtual interviews and the METTL platform for assessments.

1. Written Test

The written test consisted of seven sections, designed to evaluate various aspects of the candidate's knowledge and analytical skills. The first two sections covered aptitude, followed by questions on SQL and HTML, basic coding, and a dedicated section on probability and basic machine learning. This final section included ten questions that needed to be answered within five minutes, encouraging quick thinking and efficiency.

The test was marked on a cumulative basis, with shortlisting based on section-wise performance. For instance, if a candidate excelled in the aptitude section, they would be shortlisted for the Business Analyst profile. The difficulty level of the test was described as average, making it accessible but still challenging enough to filter out less prepared candidates.

2. Group Discussion (GD)

The GD round involved two topics chosen from current and hot issues. The topics covered a wide range of subjects, including:

Privatisation of railways Nepotism in business areas Samsung Apple rivalry Censorship vs transparency of COVID data Importance of sports events for countries Pros and cons of one-day delivery in the management side

The topics required candidates to present both positive and negative viewpoints, encouraging creative thinking and supporting their arguments with relevant examples. Participants were given 30 minutes to discuss the topics, emphasizing the importance of clear and structured communication.

3. Case Study

The case study round lasted for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was divided into two parts: a research phase and a presentation phase. During the research phase, candidates were provided with a topic and given access to books/articles on the internet to gather relevant information. In the second part, candidates were required to summarize and present their findings in three pages using pen and paper. They were also tasked with creating visual aids such as flowcharts, line graphs, pie charts, and block diagrams to support their presentation.

The evaluation was cumulative, emphasizing the need for thorough preparation and a clear, concise presentation. Candidates were encouraged to use visual aids effectively, making their presentations both informative and engaging.

4. Technical Interview

The technical interview was conducted by a very approachable interviewer who encouraged a conversational and interactive atmosphere. The interview started with the classic "Tell me about yourself" question. Candidates were advised to channel this conversation in a way that highlighted their technical projects and knowledge of the latest technologies in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT). Candidates who remained focused on their projects and updated on the latest industry trends were more likely to progress to the next round.

The interviewer also asked guesstimate and puzzle questions, emphasizing the practical application of knowledge in real-world scenarios. It was important for candidates to remain calm and demonstrate their learning attitude, even if their answers were not perfect.

5. HR Interview

The HR interview was supportive and focused on a range of questions, including reasons for choosing electronics engineering, selecting the Business Analyst profile, and discussing hobbies, interests, and family background. Candidates were advised to be confident and communicate effectively, even if they did not have all the answers.

Key Tips for Success:

Patience: Results took a considerable amount of time to come through, so remaining patient and confident was crucial. Communication Skills: Clear, structured, and confident communication was essential throughout the process. Prepare: Candidates should be well-prepared, with a deep understanding of the latest technologies and industry trends.
