From Dreams to Reality: My Journey of Personal Growth and Accomplishment

As someone who has achieved many of the dreams I once had only imagined, I am here to share my story with you. The path to success is often not a straightforward one, and along the way, there are many lessons to learn and challenges to overcome. Today, I want to share how I achieved something I once only dreamt of: purchasing a Rs.1 lakh laptop on my own. Through hard work, perseverance, and the support of loved ones, I have been able to turn my dreams into a reality.

Starting Small with a Gifted Computer

My journey began in a humble way, with a computer that my parents gifted me. Even though it had very poor specifications, it was a great start. In October 2020, I made a significant upgrade to a new personal computer, a goal I had set for myself. This move marked the beginning of my self-improvement journey, demonstrating a commitment to personal growth and learning.

Learning and Earning

I started learning new skills and utilizing them to earn a good income. This not only helped me financially but also provided a sense of accomplishment. In December 2021, I finally realized my dream of owning an Apple MacBook Air M1, a computer that made me feel truly accomplished. This achievement wasn't just about the gadget; it was a symbol of personal achievement and gratitude towards those who supported me along the way.

A Dedication to My Parents

This achievement is dedicated to my parents, as they played a crucial role in making this possible. I am immensely grateful to my parents for their unwavering support and guidance. Additionally, my mentors, Abhinav Saxena and Kratika Chaubey, also deserve immense thanks for their belief and support. They served as my guiding lights, always pushing me to strive for more. My dedication to their achievement is a testament to the value of their guidance and support.

Personal Growth and Achievement

The journey began on May 21, 2020, when my sole focus was on growth and learning. From that day forward, I aimed to prioritize learning and development over financial gain. My mentor, Abhinav Saxena, always reminded me that success is not just about individual accomplishments but also about the people who support and believe in you. This message resonated deeply and continues to guide me in my endeavors.

Chasing Your Dreams

One of my dreams was always to achieve an international rank in an olympiad. After five years of dedicated preparation, including diligently studying workbooks and sample papers, I finally achieved my goal of ranking third internationally in the English olympiad. This achievement was not without its challenges, but with hard work and a steadfast pursuit of my dream, I reached my goal. This success instilled in me the belief that if you have the passion and determination, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

Professional Goals and Achievements

Another dream of mine was to work as a faculty member at my alma mater. This dream was pursued with unwavering determination, but it took time to materialize. In 1999, I applied for the position of assistant professor, even though I did not fill out the application form correctly. A stranger wished me luck, and later my mentor and role model, Abhinav Saxena, further encouraged me. In 2000, we moved to Bathinda, and in 2006, I started working as a faculty member of management at a private college.

Feeling restless, I always longed to transition to the Department of Business Studies. Although this seemed impossible at the time, the appointment of the wife of the Department of Business Studies' head as the college's principal in 2005 led to a change in the dynamics. This opened doors, and by 2006, I secured a position at the Department of Business Studies, fulfilling a long-held dream.

Looking back at my journey, I am filled with gratitude for all the mentors, my parents, and the various people who have supported my dreams. If you have a dream and the hunger to make it a reality, there is no obstacle too big to overcome. Keep dreaming, and work hard to make your dreams a reality.
