These feelings are not typical responses to positive situations like finding common ground with others. I personally relate to these emotions. I intensely hate it when someone shares my interests or feels the same way I do. Whether it's music, TV shows, hobbies, or other personal preferences, it triggers a deep-seated feeling of being overshadowed or insignificant. This sensation is amplified by the realization that there are billions of people who likely share these interests. These feelings are especially strong when I compare them to my past experiences, such as when I never had the chance to be myself because of a lack of personal space and validation.
