Cuomo Brothers Employment Worries: A Non-Issue
Are You Worried About the Cuomo Brothers Finding Employment?
Not at all.
I don’t hate them. I actually like what I saw when they were working. But I don’t worry about their future. Their father was governor, and that experience certainly provided them with financial resilience and networking advantages. Did they ever wonder if the rent would be paid? Did they ever have to live on unemployment? Did they ever have to work just to feed themselves? It’s doubtful. They didn’t.
I haven’t paid much attention to their personal troubles that cost them their jobs. That danger goes with those roles, and they knew the risks from the start. Of course, I liked hearing what Governor Cuomo had to say about the pandemic. I liked his response better than my own governor’s response and I voted for the guy. But blood is thicker than water, and I didn’t move to New York just because.
Was Governor Cuomo involved in a crime, as I keep hearing? If a prosecutor thinks he has the evidence to prove it, charge him, let a jury decide, and a judge choose his punishment. Hopefully, not a judge that was appointed by him or his father. As for the jury, more than half the voters in New York must have voted for him at some point, so more than half the jury should have voted for him, and less than half should have voted against him. I am mildly curious about how that turns out.
I am only mildly curious about their next jobs, but definitely not worried. Both brothers have huge financial nests eggs. His contract with CNN was to run another three years at six million a year, and it’s reported that he is suing for the balance of the contract. With his brother no longer holding a political position of power and influence, he may have trouble landing something soon, especially with his CNN suit pending. But you never know; some far-left media outlet may consider him a trusted leftist propaganda mouthpiece. Of course, the podcast route could provide income but hardly at the CNN level.
Why should I worry? Disgraced politicians and celebrities always seem to find new jobs. It might not be as lucrative as their last gigs, but I’m sure they will survive just fine.
To tell the truth, the futures of those two lowlifes are way down on my list of worries. Right below is the fear of being eaten by a goldfish.
