To develop these skills, it is essential to start with basic tools and frameworks, such as the DIKW model and basic questioning techniques.

The DIKW Model

The DIKW (Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom) model is a useful framework for understanding how information is transformed through various stages of processing. Although more advanced models exist, the DIKW model serves as a good starting point for illustrating the hierarchical progression from raw data to wise action. By understanding this model, students can better organize their thoughts and information, leading to more effective problem-solving.

Basic Questioning Techniques

One way to begin developing critical thinking skills is by proficiency in answering the 'Six W's' – Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How.
