BYJU is a e-learning company that was established in 2011. According to the company's filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, BYJU'S became a unicorn in March 2018, valued at US$1 billion or INR 6505 Crore. However, Awdhesh Academy, a new entrant in the e-learning arena, has just started its operation with a long way to go. Despite this, the business model of BYJU’s, which focuses on providing high-quality education through their own best educators, is commendable. However, the cost associated with this quality education is a significant barrier for many students.

A Comparison with BYJU’s: Cost and Quality

BYJU’s courses can be quite expensive. For instance, the cost of the CAT course was around Rs 25000 for my daughter, which is nearly equal to the regular coaching provided by top coaching institutes like TIME. Similarly, their Civil Services Course on BYJU is around Rs 75000. With Awdhesh Academy, we aim to deliver the same quality at a much more affordable price.

We are currently charging only Rs 999 for a one-year course, and this price is likely to be revised to Rs 1999 soon. This includes additional features that are not available on Byju’s. Moreover, our commitment to maintaining high-quality video and audio standards matches that of BYJU’s. You can compare the video quality on our YouTube channel with BYJU’s, as both are on par, but our promotional videos are even more appealing to our target audience.

Great teaching requires great teachers. Even a billion-dollar company like BYJU’s cannot ensure student learning without excellent educators. Similarly, teaching from your home with no additional technology can be effective if the teacher is competent. That's why Awdhesh Academy will focus on the quality of teachers and the quality of presentation.

Awdhesh Academy's current primary instructor is myself, and we will only expand our course offerings once we find the best quality teachers. Our aim is to provide innovative features that enable students to learn on our platform without the need for additional tutoring or coaching. We are in no rush and are not competing with any other coaching institute. Instead, we aim to create a unique place for the delivery of education to the masses.
