Eligibility and Registration Process

The re-validation scheme for different levels of the CA course under the revised scheme, effective from July 1, 2017, includes the below details:

CA Foundation - Re-validation for the foundation stage will depend on whether the student has completed the required practical training period. CA Intermediate - For those with a direct entry route through graduation or post-graduation, the exam can be written within the four-year validity period from the time of registration. CA Final - For those who have completed the intermediate groups and are pursuing the final level, the exam eligibility will be based on the completion of all required groups.

Specific Eligibility Criteria

For a direct entry student (graduates or postgraduates) who registered for article ship by 31st July 2020, the following are the eligibility criteria:

Minimum time of 9 months between the study for CA Intermediate. Commencement of practical training on or before 1st August 2020. Furnishing the certificate of service indicating the completion of 9 months of articleship by 1st May 2021 when filing the examination form.

For CA-Foundation route students who joined articleship between 1st November 2019 and 31st July 2020:

If you have passed either group of the CA Intermediate examination, you can appear for the remaining group in November 2020 or subsequent attempts. If you have passed both groups of the CA Intermediate examination, you can appear for the CA Final examination in November 2022 or subsequent attempts, provided that both groups of Intermediate examination have been cleared.
